Brown, walking out with Mrs. B., notices how nicely some cyclists get over the ground

Next day he resolves to have a bicycle himself

He trots out his new machine on a lonely road

After running some time beside the machine he makes a leap

He takes a rest and rubs his aching limbs

After many ugly falls he at length succeeds and parades before his wife

Mrs. B. applauds as he passes her in splendid style

He had only just passed his wife when a stone on the road tripped up the machine

Not being quite killed he has still plenty of time to reflect

She could dream of nothing else but her new Bicycle

She soon came in sight of the champion club racers

Passed them and left them in the rear with ease

She ran clean over a bullock which happened to be in her way

Running over a footbridge she scattered the fishing party in all directions

A timber waggon blocked the way, but she cleared the lot

She ascended a mighty steep, a feat never before attempted

And descended fearful inclines with the greatest equanimity

Finding the bridge broken she leaped the fearful chasm

She receives a glorious welcome on her return home

But on her maid awakening her in the morning finds she has been dreaming it all

'Now then, Tommy, it's coming on rain; we must hurry up this last long stretch'

'What are you kicking up that row for? Don't be frightened, we're nearly at the end of the stretch'

A group of cows stood by the way attended by a bull

A moment more, and as here shown, they're met and parted -- so

And when the bull had gained his feet he gave a feeble moan

'Fly with me, dearest I've a special license, and the parson will pick us up on the road'

Here's the parson and the clerk. Hooray!

'Well! I suppose I must make the best of it! Bless you, my children!'

'But dragged dreadfully during the afternoon'

'Well, there, in the evening I was quite baked'. 'I rode the front seat'
