The known copy of this catalogue is probably missing at least its front cover, so the total number of pages may have been higher than 184.
The publication date is assumed on the basis that many of the pages in the surviving example have the name of Ebenezer Marshall (the previous owner of Luscombe Toms' business, from whom he acquired it in late 1893) as a running header, while other pages mention Toms. There is also a Church Army testimonial dated May 1894 on the back cover.
This might suggest that for convenience Toms simply had his printer reuse plates from the previous edition of the catalogue, only replacing those pages which had new or amended content. This theory has not yet been checked against known dates of any of the listed slide sets.
