– alternative version of this slideThe statue is shown as displayed at the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Since 1880 it has been located at Antietam National Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Maryland.
The photograph as mounted for the slide is reversed; in the actual statue the rifle is held to the soldier's left.
