Slide M.619 of [Rowden Collection: series 'M'] (miscellaneous: privately made, at least 333 slides, c.1919)
– alternative version of this slidephotographer: ROWDEN, A.O. (1877-1960)
The heavy masking of this image shows only a detail of the whole photograph; viewed from the back of the slide, the branch of date blossom is being held by a British soldier standing by a collapsed tent (probably the result of the storm of 15 May 1919, mentioned in connection with the preceding images). The whole image is included in Rowden's photo album, now in a private collection.
Example in Royal Albert Memorial Museum Collection, item 45/1960/95/1028 (1960- )
