Slide M. of [Rowden Collection: series 'M'] (miscellaneous: privately made, at least 333 slides, c.1919)
– alternative version of this slidephotographer: ROWDEN, A.O. (1877-1960)
see also slide E.568 of [Rowden Collection: series 'E'] (miscellaneous: privately made, at least 229 slides, 1911-1941)
Unusually for Rowden, this slide appears not to have been numbered, though it does carry his reference letter 'M'. It is reproduced in his photo album, again unnumbered, as a loose photo found near images 641-648, but has no obvious connection to those subjects.
Logically it would fit into the sequence of his Mesopotamia images around 780-800, but there is no gap in the sequence of numbers there. The image may have been taken by someone other than Rowden, or possibly created from another published source after his return to England.
Example in Royal Albert Memorial Museum Collection, item 45/1960/95/811 (1960- )
