Slide 66 of [RAMM Collection: photographs of Devon towns and villages] (lecture: privately made, at least 34 slides, in/after 1905)
– alternative version of this slidephotographer: WILCOCKSON, Charles (c.1865-1929)
In spite of the caption it carries, the slide shows Bickleigh, the neighbouring village, rather than Cadeleigh.
The railway station (close to the river bridge from which the photo is taken) was known as Cadeleigh and Bickleigh from 1885 to 1906, then as just Cadeleigh. This might suggest the photographer understood the location as being the station where he had just arrived, and that the image was taken in or after 1906.
