– alternative version of this slidephotographer: WALBURN, A.W., F.R.P.S. (1871-1963)
The inscription on the window commemorates a visit to the New London Hotel by the author Robert Louis Stevenson in September 1885.
The window pane was donated to the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in January 1936 (accession 21/1936) by Associated British Cinemas, who demolished the New London Hotel to replace it with a large ABC Cinema.
