Slide 239 of London and neighbourhood (lecture: York & Son, 752 slides, 1870-1884)
– alternative version of this slidepossibly same as slide 320 of English Church history: Lecture VII -- Puritan resistance to Church and King, AD 1590-1649 (lecture: Newton & Co., 51 slides, 1889)
The example of this slide in the Ilfracombe Museum collection has the typical York printed title label on the top edge, but also the number 320 in white ink. Since it was found with other slides from the Newton English Church History series, this suggests that it was either bought-in and used by Newton in the original assembly of the set, or substituted for a missing Newton slide by a later owner of the set.
Example in Chetham's Library, Manchester, item 31.39
Example in Ilfracombe Museum Collection, item 8585.
