“The Poulterer holds up a turkey which seems too elegantly slim for that vulgar portion of the public which requires a plump bird. He sends the boy for bellows and blows it out, tying the neck to keep the air in. A lady is induced to purchase it by its plump appearance and the poulterer's assurance that it is the 'best bird in the market.' The explosion and collapse of the turkey on her arrival home is the funny final slide.”
