“A very fine set, with dissolving effects and mechanical movements ad lib: Designed for an entertainment of about one hour. Mr. Steward has had a special libretto written for the set. Some of the mechanical slides are worthy of mention, the principal being ù Panorama of Ship Leaving Hull, the Wreck (lightning effect) , Moonlight and Ripple on the Water , Dancing Cat , Panorama, Raft Leaving Ship and the Voyage, Day to Moonlight , Leversù Crusoe and Dancing Kid, Building the Boat, Voyage Round the Island, Cave Scene , Effects (choreutoscope) ù Dancing, Friday and Bear.”
