“The early career of Pilate as a Roman soldier, and his doings as representative of Caesar in Judea, lead up to his meeting with Christ, and his conviction as to the innocence of the Divine prisoner, his vacillating action, and his final cowardly relinquishing of Christ to the fury of the mob. Hymns – We sing the praise of Him who died – I heard the Voice of Jesus (illustrated solo) – Jesu, meek and gentle – Jesu, Lover of my soul.
