Newton's lantern slide catalogue: section 5 -- geography (London: Newton & Co., c.1926), 355

“By C.H.K. Marten, M.A., Senior History Master, Eton College. Prepared for the Visual Instruction Committee of the Royal Colonial Institute.

This exceedingly fine group of Slides, with descriptive notes, will be found of special value in illustrating the vastness of India, its wonderful architecture, its great varieties of race, and some of the characteristics of the Indian peoples and religions.

Of India's industrial development and of her government little has been said; the more picturesque sides of Indian life have been mainly illustrated.

The full number of Slides will be found sufficient for two Lectures, but sections may be taken separately or grouped in any order desired.

Section A. Peoples of India.

Section B. Geography of India.

Section C. The Religions of India and the Mogul Empire.

Section D. Northern Frontier and the Mountains.

Section E. The Native States.

Section F. The Cities of India.

Section G. Village Life.

Section H. Europe and India.

Section I. British Government of India.

Reference to 'India' in these Lectures are to the book of eight Lectures prepared by Sir H.J. Mackinder.”
