”“Here we have the accomplished skater, to whom the 'outside edge' is as nothing, and intricate figures mere child's-play; and his two friends who have mastered the initial difficulty of standing on their skates, and can just move without falling -- more than six times in five minutes. The skater proposes they should follow him. They do. Splendid! This is really skating! The accomplished one, however, pilots them to a small opening in the ice, which he avoids by skating within a foot either side, but his followers fall in, to the artful one's amusement.
