“British Ironclads ready for Action , H.M.'s ship 'Inflexible' opposite Alexandria , a Night Scene, with effect slideĆ¹ the electric light, flashing from vessel, illuminating the earthworks and batteries, an 81-ton gun , a Skirmish with Bedouins at Ramleh , the battle of Tel-el-Kebir , Charge of Bengal Lancers , Arabs on the Look-out from the Pyramids, and so on. The remaining twenty-three pictures refer to incidents in the Soudan war, scenery, portraits, etc., including three battles, three cataracts, portraits of General Gordon and Lord Wolsley, and a view of Khartoum, of unhappy memory. In this set there are mechanical and effect slides, one referred to above, others in connection with explosions of shell on board one of H.M.'s ships, blowing up the enemy's fort, and Alexandria Grand Square on fire.”
