“Ellen Mansfield is leaning idly against the gate. A stranger approaches, asks the way to a certain farm, and invites her to the meeting he is holding there that night. Jerry, Ellen's little invalid brother, begs her to go. Whilst lying weary on his couch he often longs to know more about the great Physician. The sermon much interests Ellen, and is the ultimate means of the whole family coming to the Saviour. Jerry recovers from his infirmity and becomes an earnest worker for the Lord.”
