“By the author of 'Probable Sons.' A story of more than ordinary interest, telling how Eric Wallace, the invalid son of a well-known sceptic, is brought to the Saviour through a few tattered leaves of St. Mark's Gospel, which his dog finds in the sea. He asks his friend, Captain Graham, to explain the story of the Gospel. The Captain, though not a believer, tries to answer the boy's questions, and is in time so impressed with the truth that he becomes an earnest Christian. Hymns – A little ship was on the sea – God loved the world of sinners lost – Farewell.”
