“This is one of the most useful sets in the cause of Temperance, as it depicts the squalor and misery in the slums of our large cities, caused very largely by drink -- The pictures give a very fair insight into the characters, habits, and occupations of the denizens of these districts -- It is impossible to give even an epitome of this set, but the title of each Slide will be a sufficient indication of its character.”
