“10 Slides from Life. With Reading.

A really good Life Model Set for Temperance Gatherings, as it represents an Auction Sale at a Drunkard's Home and graphically describes the wrecked and worthless belongings of a man whose all has been spent in drink. Dirty broken dishes, a crazy fiddle, a one-legged table, a broken-backed chair, a straw bed, a cup without a handle and a teapot without a spout, a bottle neck and candle and a kit with bottom out, and rags which swarm with vermin, are the lots we have called out. The poem is humorous, and very descriptive.”
