“Reading on the Slides.

Mischievous young Sambo determines to duck the dog in the well, and kneels on the cover-board whilst he puts him in the bucket. But the tables are turned, for the dog gets away but the joker falls down. The dog considers a moment and then sets off to fetch his father. The old gentleman returns with the dog and draws his boy to the surface, a wiser and a wetter youth.”
