“18 Slides from Life Models. With Reading.

This is a touching story of a poor lad, whose father gave way to intemperance, and was killed by a railway accident. His mother, a good Christian woman, struggles on for some time, but succumbs to a broken heart and the pinch of poverty. Mike and an infant sister, May, are thus left orphans, and rather than go to the workhouse, take to a wandering life. May dies, and Mike goes to sea, where he meets with injuries which lay him down upon what proves his death-bed in the hospital.”
