The optical magic lantern journal: volume 2 number 17 (October 1890), viii

“First a Map of Scotland is shown on which the route to be followed may be traced, then Glasgow is visited, then the Clyde, and on to Oban, Staff and Iona, up the great Caledonian Canal to Inverness, from thence a flying visit is made to Kirkwall in the Orkneys, and Dunrobin Castle -- the seat of the Duke of Sutherland, the largest landed proprietor in the three kingdoms -- and then south to Aberdeen and Deeside, Arbroath, Perth, Killiecrankie and the Trossachs.”
