Notes

The set is a mixture of privately made slides (mainly showing Japanese artefacts) and some selected from commercial sets, assembled as a single lecture probably for use in schools.

The set title and the non-commercial slide titles are from an accompanying typed list of the slides. The list appears to be complete at 55 slides; slides 56-60, which all duplicate commercially-made slides from earlier in the set, may have been numbered as such after the set passed into the Manchester Museum Collection.

Slides 4, 5 and 21 in the typed list are missing.
