BOLDERSTON, Dr W.N., M.A. (1884-1968) – photographer, all 33 slides
The slides are listed in the order in a handwritten slide list found in the same box, which also contained a handwritten set of notes apparently for a lecture using these slides. The notes list 35 slides, but only 33 have been found, including one (slide [19]) which is apparently from an earlier set covering a visit to Switzerland in 1938.
The possible date of this set is based on those lecture notes, which describe this tour of Norway as 'last year', but apparently later than a previous tour in 1957.
Most of the slides have suffered a degree of colour fading, which suggests that the film used was Ektrachrome or a similar transparency process. They are shown here in their current state, and also with digital colour correction to give an approximate impression of the original colours.
