Notes

These slides are from a collection of some 9,000 images amassed by the BAAS between 1889 and 1956. The images are currently held by the British Geological Survey - see www.bgs.ac.uk/services/library/photographs.html for more information.

The slides in the Royal Albert Memorial Museum collection were purchased direct from the BAAS Photographic Committee, though the cash book in the RAMM archive only mentions 56 slides (48 @ 1s. 6d., 8 @ 2s. per slide), purchased on 11 May 1933.
