Newton & Co., England
in stock of Newton & Co., 1899-1925 (item ref. MT)
The 1899 and 1909 Newton catalogues use the title Deir-el-Bahari; the 1913 edition uses Egypt Exploration Fund. The c.1926 catalogue uses the title Egypt Exploration Society and says the slides are 'too numerous to detail here'.
A number of slides (shown here as 'Slide title unknown') are missing from the list in the 1899-1913 Newton catalogues, and several groups are shown out of numerical order: slides 22-29 appear between 56 and 57; 34-44 appear between 62 and 63. The numbering may reflect an original series of images in the stock of the Egypt Exploration Fund, with the 'missing' slides never actually produced by Newton.
