BAKER, W. Weaver (1866-1954) – photographer, all 39 slides
The jeweller and silversmith William Bruford established a business in Eastbourne, Sussex, in 1884 (still operating in 2015), with another shop in Exeter opening c.1899. The Exeter business traded until April 2014.
The main part of this set consists of 37 slides; slides [38] and [39] are copies of other slides from this set.
The date is confirmed by cash books in the RAMM archives, which show that Baker was paid £2 11s. 3d. for making these slides (though the cash book refers to 41 slides), or 1s. 3d. per slide.
