Newton & Co., England
in stock of Newton & Co., 1913 (item ref. 8MK)
The 'Mr Merlin' referred to in the Newton 1913 catalogue reference is probably Carl Merlin (1850-1898), though the photographs are said to be from his collection rather than specifically taken by him.
Slides 1-63 and 120-178 appear to be the same as those of the same numbers in the previous Greece set (Newton telegraphic code 'MK', Lucerna ID 3011416). However those numbered 64-107 here are new additions to the set, and do not match the corresponding numbers in the other previous Newton Greece set 'ML' (Lucerna 3011600) which filled the gap in 'ML' in earlier Newton catalogues.
Slide numbers 108-119 appear not to have been used.
