Notes

The 1909 Newton catalogue includes this and the six other sets of The United Kingdom together under the single telegraphic code ABD, but without detailed lists of slide titles. In the 1913 catalogue edition, code ABD is used for the set New sacred pictures (Lucerna 3006478), and the United Kingdom sets are coded as ALA-ALG in sequence.

This might suggest either that the sets were not ready when the 1909 catalogue went to press, or possibly that at some stage between 1909 and 1913 (probably to coincide with the publication of subsequent sets in the Imperial Geographical Teaching Scheme series) it was decided to market them as seven individual sets.
