Notes

The credit in the Newton catalogue to Ranyard as compiler suggests that the set originates earlier than his death in 1894, but was added to after that date.

The 1899 Newton catalogue lists slides 1-121; 122-130 were added between 1899 and 1909. Slides 48-49 are not listed in the 1909 or 1913 Newton catalogues.
