Notes

Slides 3-5 are intended for dissolving superimposition on slide 2.

The slide titles in the various catalogue listings vary slightly; it is possible that there was more than one version of this set or that it was reissued at a later date. In particular the slide listing in the 1912 Wood catalogue is quite different from that in 1894, and the use of a new stock number in the later listing might suggest a different version of the set.

The 1888 Indispensable handbook attributes this set to E.G. Wood, and it was certainly in their stock, but the reading by T.J. Piggott and the visual style of the few slides seen suggests that it was by Piggott.

The Church Army catalogue lists an additional 17 hymn slides for use 'when used as a service of song'.
