Notes

The Riley catalogue uses the title Funeral of Mr Gladstone and numbers the slides 53-64, as a continuation from the G.W. Wilson set of 52 slides Life of the Right Honourable William Ewart Gladstone.

Slides 11 and 12 of the illustrated set are numbered 18 and 19, though their content and title captions (on the top edges) match the catalogue titles of slides 11 and 12. This might indicate that there was originally a longer version of the set.

The images show the funeral procession leaving the Houses of Parliament and crossing Parliament Square on the way to Westminster Abbey.
