Notes

The E.G. Wood 1894 catalogue adds an introductory slide to make the total 51.

The images are photographed from illustrations which appeared in several issues of the London news weeklies Illustrated London News and The Graphic in March and April 1876. These reported on a series of expeditions crossing equatorial Africa from east to west in 1873-1875, led by Cameron on behalf of the Royal Geographical Society, following his return to Britain in early April 1876.
