Notes

The 1894 Toms catalogue incorrectly lists this set under the title The Tower of London (the next set to appear in that catalogue).

The Riley 1905 and Ivens 1913 catalogues list slides numbered up to 36, but with slide 14 missing from the list. The 35 slides listed correspond to those in earlier catalogues, but with the slides after 14 renumbered up by 1, which corresponds with the numbering of known surviving slides.

It is possible that there was an original set of 35, to which a new slide 14 was added at some stage but later deleted without subsequent renumbering of the other slides.
