Pompeii: past and present (London: Wrench & Son, n.d.)

Notes

Some of the illustrated slides (mainly those from the Manchester Museum Collection) appear from their labelling and image quality to be original slides by York & Son, but others have a different style of captioning and slightly less clear images, suggesting that they may be remade by E.G. Wood, whose stock code 'OU' they carry along with another apparent stock number 'H117'. Alternatively the 'Wood' slides could be a different set made independently from the same source of images.

There was probably also a set of this title made or published by Wrench & Son, which would explain the double entry for this title in the 1891 Band of Hope Union slide catalogue.

The image source is possibly Luigi Fischetti and E. Neville Rolfe, Pompeii Past and Present: illustrated by photographs of the ruins as they are, with sketches of their original elevations (London: W. Clowes & Sons, 1884).
