George E. Thompson, Cities and canals of Holland (Aberdeen: G.W. Wilson, n.d.)

Band of Mercy slide sets, number 96
The 1909 Tyler catalogue offers two versions of this set: slides 1-26 (apparently as a complete list of the set offered at that point) under the stock number 144, and slides 1-50 under stock number 1099.
The 1898 Wrench catalogue only lists the 26-slide version.
Distributed in Germany by Liesegang under the Title Holländische Städte- und Kanalbilder (see 'catalogues'). From a comparison of two slides of the same motif/slide number, a slilght shift in horizontal perspective could be observed. This makes is highly probable that the lantern slides were made from stereoscopic negatives – and it makes it highly possible that these images were also issued as stereoscopic photo cards.
