Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Annual Report 1910 (London: R.S.P.C.A., c.1910), 233

“From the book by G.E. Farrow; published by Messrs. S.W. Partirge & Co.
This story gives the adventures of a boy who wished to become as small and as independent as the animals, so that he might not do lessons. He wakes to find himself among the animals, and the story tells - while teaching natural history in a charming and entertaining manner - how Ji goes to live with a family of field mice, and makes friends with all the small creatures of the woods.”
