“24 Slides from Life Models. With Reading.

A little boy, Davie, is imprisoned unjustly for theft. On his release he inadvertently wanders into the garden of Dr Joyce, the gentleman who accused him of theft, and is turned away while seeking food. He lies down on a seat, but cannot sleep for hunger. An old woman seats herself beside him, and, after giving him some bread, tells him of Jesus and teaches him to pray. They fall asleep, and in the morning the woman is found dead. Dr Meadows, the partner of Dr Joyce, finds Davie and takes him into his surgery as errand boy. Dr Joyce is stricken with brain fever, through the death of his only son, and Davie attends to him during his illness and succeeds in converting him to Christ. Dr Joyce educates Davie and takes him into partnership.”
