Slide set: The men who crucified Christ: Judas (religious: Newton & Co., 37 slides, 1905)

Supplementary list of lantern slides lent on hire: 1906-7 (London: UK Band of Hope Union, 1906), 2

“Beginning with his training as a Jewish boy, the address sketches the career of Judas and shows that his natural failing was avarice, which nullified the influence of his intercourse with Christ, and led to his downfall. Illustrations are drawn from the Gospel story, and the sad incidents of the Last Supper and the betrayal are forcibly dealt with. The service concludes with a powerful application and appeal. The hymns introduced are – Christian seek not yet repose – In the hour of trial (illustrated solo) – Be thou my Guardian and my Guide – O Jesus, I have promised.
