An extensive series of sets of slides showing maps and geographical diagrams, aimed at the British educational market of the early 20th century.
The slides appear to have been produced by the Diagram Company, but were exclusively marketed by Newton & Co. on their behalf. Those slides known to exist are labelled as made by the Diagram Co. or Dickinson & Andrews; some also credit G. Philip & Son, a London educational publisher who possibly distributed the slides before the arrangement with Newton.
“Newton & Co. are the Sole Wholesale Agents for the productions of the Diagram Co. Trade Terms will be quoted on application.
A discount of 10 per cent. will be allowed to all schools, and 5 per cent. extra to members of the Geographical Association.
The Slides can be purchased in small or large quantities from Newton & Co. and the Diagram Co., or through any of the usual trade firms.
”“We would draw special attention to this series as being the result of much care on the part of skilled educationists, and comprising by far the most satisfactory Map Slides ever published for use with the lantern.

Messrs Dickinson and Andrews deserve the thanks of all geographical lecturers and teachers for having produced a series of most useful and effectively coloured lantern slides of maps of all parts of the world, which deserve to be more widely known and generally used than they are at present. The following is a list of those recently published, in addition to others which were noticed in the Geographical Journal for June, 1899:
