Kees Ivens (photographer, Königliche Technische Hochschule, Berlin) started in 1894 in Nijmegen Het Nederlands Fototechnisch Bureau C.A.P. Ivens en Co, together with his father in law George Muskens. Since 1920 the name CAPI was used. After his death in 1941 the name became Capi-Lux. Kees Ivens was the son of the photographer Willem Ivens and the father of the cineast Joris Ivens.
