Notes

Identified from a cash book held in the Royal Albert Memorial Museum archive, which accounts for payments to Bennetto for 'Lantern and Operator' for four series of free lectures in the winters of 1931-1932 (5 lectures), 1932-1933 (5 lectures), 1934-1935 (7 lectures) and 1935-1936 (7 lectures). The fee remained at 10s. 6d. per lecture throughout that period.

His business is described as a grocer and general dealer throughout the 1920s and 1930s, and work as a lantern operator was presumably a sideline.
