Notes

A review of his November 1904 Exeter paper in a cutting in the RAMM Archive describes him as a 'friend' of A.O. Rowden, who read the paper for him. Given their relative ages, shared entomological interests, and Lucas's employment in a school at Kingston-on-Thames, it's possible that Lucas was Rowden's teacher or mentor.
