Notes

His item in the Mechanic's Magazine of 31 August 1833 gives his address as Leicester. A Uriah Clarke was operating as a dyer in Down's Lane, Leicester in 1828, and Watt's Causeway, Leicester in 1841, but it is not known if this is the same person.
