Her father John Emanuel Preston and grandfather John Preston were also artists. She married Edwin Rosevear in late 1914 and was afterwards known as Nannie Rosevear.
Some of her original paintings for slides (reputedly including the Pilgrim's progress set) were lost on the Titanic in 1912, while being sent to an American publisher.
Many thanks to Janice Jefferies (née Preston) for information and the portrait of her great-aunt.
