An advertisement in the 1877 Edinburgh Post Office Directory for James Brown, optician, 'for many years Manager to Salom & Co.' says that Salom 'have now relinquished business in Edinburgh'.
It's not clear whether Salom continued to trade from their London premises, but they certainly finished in Edinburgh in 1874 or 1875.
