Underwood and Underwood are best known as one of the leading publishers of stereoscopic photographs, founded in 1881 in Kansas, U.S.A., and active as a major supplier of stereo cards and lantern slides until well into the 20th century.
Their British slide manufacture is little known, and the exact dates at which they operated in London are unclear, but they disappeared from the London telephone directory between the April 1917 and July 1919 editions.
