Notes
There may be some middle stage between the dissolution of the Baxter & Wray partnership in June 1898 and Wray & Co taking over the business in 1899 - at the 1898 dissolution the London Gazette says Baxter is continuing that business under his own name, but he may have been a 'sleeping partner' supplying only capital, with Wray providing the technical input for the business.
The Wray & Company business seems to have been very short-lived, and what form the business took after its dissolution in July 1899 is not yet known.
