“The Secretary (Mr F.R. Rowley) read 'A Note on Feather Structure,' which dealt briefly with the interesting connexion existing between colour and structure in birds' feathers. [...] Mr Rowley exhibited a natural colour lantern slide of a South American Tanager of the genus Calliste and a humming-bird, which served to illustrate the three classes of colours which can be distinguished in birds' feathers. [...]
”This was the third of three papers given at an evening meeting of the RAMC Field Club.
