“Members of the Exeter Municipal Officers' Guild, and their friends, were delighted, last evening, with the illustrated lecture, delivered at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, by Mr F.R. Rowley, the Curator, on some of the great museums of Europe and America. A series of beautiful illustrations were thrown on the screen, showing the fruitful lines along which museums are developing as educational forces. Very informative and interesting, were the slides, and his description of the Museum of Natural History, at New York; of the Children's Museum, at Brooklyn; of the National Bavarian Museum of Art, at Munich; and of the Open-air Museum, at Stockholm. [further description follows]”
