“Literary Institution. -- 'Shells and their Tenants' was the title of Tuesday's interesting lecture by Mr F.R. Rowley, F.R.M.S., curator of Exeter Museum. tern slides illustrated the lecturer's descriptions of the group of shell-forming animals, of which oysters and snails were leading examples. Mr A.C.L. Glubb presided.”

Notes

The town where this event took place is not stated in the press cutting which refers to it, but is presumed to be Liskeard as that is the place of publication of the relevant newspaper, and the chairman referred to is probably Albert Charles Lyne Glubb (c.1830-1922), a solicitor of Liskeard.
